I found that Men and Boys episode so insightful and helpful too. I have a six year old son so it had me thinking deeply about how to raise a smart, sweet, sensitive boy in these times. And thank you for your encouragement of us creatives to keep going. It’s always the thing you need to hear more often.
I love that you touched on men’s issues in this piece! Part of my healing has been reframing how I see men. I am becoming more open and curious as to how we can include them in the conversation, so I’m looking forward to checking out the episode you suggested. I’ve finally gotten to a point where I’m realizing that a patriarchal society has not only been detrimental to women, but men as well; and it’s important to support them through these times too.
Honestly just the world of substack- I’m in a tough transitional season where it is easy for me to get distracted by my socials. I have found substack to be a place I can expand my world in a way that doesn’t feel without purpose.
I find Substack so much more agreeable to my nervous system. Everything feels slow and intentional here. The thoughtful writing and lack of constant noise (reels, videos, takes, memes etc)
I love seeing the art that’s captured your attention throughout your travels.
Sarah, I am just now noticing that about my pics. It’s such a natural part of my travel experience that I take it for granted.

I have a 16 year old so it home, too. Thank you, Carolyn
Amazing insights! I'm so glad I ran across your Substack. Yes, I'm always on the lookout for remarkable music, art, and literature!

I agree with this so much. It’s time to broaden our approach and show empathy where necessary.
